Monty’s 40 years of active professional experience includes leadership of the K-12 Education practice area with a large and nationally celebrated San Antonio architecture practice—and he brings that wealth of expertise to TBA Douglas. His work has been focused on primary and secondary education projects, with extensive participation in planning and design for related sports facilities. The balance of his experience includes commercial, office, retail, restaurant, higher education, master planning, student life, athletic and recreation projects. His knowledge covers every aspect of project direction, delivery, and client engagement across San Antonio and South-Central Texas. His experience extends over more than 120 projects encompassing planning, master planning, programming, and design, as well as administration of all phases of construction delivery. Monty’s professional commitments extend beyond project work with engagement in, and leadership of professional, community, neighborhood, and civic organizations.

Several of Monty’s projects have been recognized by TASA/TASB as well as A4LE/CEFPI and the San Antonio Conservation Society.
