Principal Architect

Andrew, former president of Douglas Architects, brings 33 years’ experience in a broad range of professional practice areas including municipal planning, urban design, commercial development, hospitality, adaptive reuse, and historic renovations. His skills cover all aspects of the architectural practice in areas of management, planning, design, and construction, with a focus on meeting clients’ needs, providing creative design solutions, and adherence to schedules and budgets.

His recent experience includes high profile projects like The Witte Building, Rosario’s, Texas Research & Technology Foundation (TRTF) Phase 2 Lab Facility, Merchant’s Ice Buildings, Merchant’s Garage, City of Seguin Wells Fargo site redevelopment, The Neue mixed-use development in New Braunfels, and the Basilica of the Little Flower masterplan and restoration.

Andrew headed up the City of New Braunfels Castell Street vision plan, City of San Antonio programming and design build documents for the new Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center; the City of San Antonio Vertical Circulator design/documentation; the City of San Antonio Walters Street Corridor master plan; the LEED Silver-certified Guasti Office Building, located in Ontario, California; the Clear Channel Worldwide Master Plan and IT Center; and Boeing’s cafeteria and front entry building. Andrew has completed several multi-million-dollar downtown renovation projects such as the Hyatt Regency San Antonio renovation, the Hilton Palacio del Rio renovation, and has completed the design and construction of the award-winning 300 Houston project (Walgreens) on historic Houston Street.
