To accommodate the growing parking demands of Merchant’s Ice office building and the larger TRTF campus, Douglas Architects, along with its team of consultants, has designed a four story, 400-space parking garage on East Houston Street, directly south of the Merchant’s Ice building.
Responding to the context of the neighborhood, as well as the Merchant’s campus, the garage is detailed with brick masonry, board-formed concrete elevator and stair tower, framed metal screens, vertical punched openings, and landscape planters.
The garage will be part of the larger Merchant’s Ice Complex which will be an integrated live, work, play, and create campus, and serve as the city’s premier hub for life sciences, biotech, emerging technologies, and likeminded entrepreneurs.
