Rivermill Development Master Plan

Mixed Use

New Braunfels, Texas

2018

Located on a picturesque bend of the Guadalupe River in the quaint central Texas town of New Braunfels, this proposed 165-million-dollar River Mill mixed-use development consists of restaurants, retail, offices, hotels, housing, an ice house and an outdoor amphitheater. The development plan incorporates many of the historic structures including the original 1890’s mill buildings while adding new complementary structures. In addition, the development plan incorporates a new River Walk experience made up of retail, restaurants, and bars.

Douglas Architects was hired by the developer, Reata Real Estate, to serve as the master architect for the project leading the planning and design efforts. The project is slated to be complete in 2021.
